Responsibilities
- Monitor facility activities and enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and security.
- Conduct head counts and searches to prevent contraband entry and ensure inmate accountability.
- Respond immediately to emergencies, altercations, or medical incidents within the facility.
- Document all observations, incidents, and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Supervise inmate labor and ensure compliance with safety protocols during work assignments.
- Facilitate rehabilitative programs and provide guidance to inmates when appropriate.
- Participate in training drills and maintain physical fitness standards required for the role.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- U.S. Citizenship and valid Ohio Driver's License required.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and medical evaluation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform duties including standing for long periods, walking, and restraining individuals.
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
