Responsibilities
- Maintain IT Infrastructure: Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and hardware systems to ensure optimal performance.
- User Support: Provide technical assistance and training to government staff, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Data Management: Analyze and manage sensitive state data, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- System Updates: Implement software patches, security updates, and system upgrades to protect against cyber threats.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers to deploy new technology solutions across various state departments.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including standard operating procedures and system logs.
- Compliance: Ensure all IT activities adhere to government security protocols and accessibility standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT support or systems administration within a government or corporate environment.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Security Clearance: Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary government security clearance.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions under pressure.
