Responsibilities
- Manage Administrative Operations: Oversee daily office functions, including document processing, record keeping, and filing of state documents to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Customer Service Excellence: Serve as the primary point of contact for constituents and employees, answering inquiries regarding state programs, benefits, and employment policies with professionalism and empathy.
- Data Management: Utilize state databases to input, verify, and analyze data, ensuring accuracy in personnel records and reporting.
- Process Improvement: Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement solutions to enhance the productivity of the department and improve the overall employee experience.
- Collaborative Project Support: Work closely with various state agencies and local government partners to coordinate initiatives, attend meetings, and prepare briefing materials.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all departmental activities adhere to federal and state labor laws, safety protocols, and agency policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support, customer service, or government operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with state government software or database systems is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex policies into clear, actionable information.
