Responsibilities
- Process Applications & Records: Accurately review and process incoming applications, ensuring all documentation meets state standards and compliance regulations.
- Client Intake: Conduct initial screenings and intake interviews for new clients to assess eligibility for state programs.
- Case Management Support: Assist senior case managers by organizing files, scheduling appointments, and maintaining up-to-date client databases.
- Data Entry & Analysis: Maintain high levels of data integrity by entering information into state databases and generating weekly performance reports.
- Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for the public, answering inquiries regarding program eligibility and office procedures in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Compliance Reporting: Prepare and submit required weekly and monthly reports to regional headquarters to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Staff Collaboration: Work closely with local law enforcement and other state agencies to coordinate services for vulnerable populations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in administrative support, customer service, or a government-related setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn state-specific case management software quickly.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex policies to the general public.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and high volumes of paperwork without error.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a standard background check and drug screening.
- Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a significant plus for this role.
