Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot server infrastructure and network systems during the night shift to ensure 24/7 operational availability.
- Execute and manage system patches, updates, and security configurations outside of peak business hours.
- Respond to and resolve critical IT incidents and help desk tickets escalated from state agencies.
- Perform routine backups and data integrity checks to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.
- Document all system changes, incidents, and maintenance activities in the state service management database.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to hand over critical status reports and pending issues.
- Adhere to strict state cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a night shift environment (variable hours including weekends and holidays).
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and network protocols.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation (due to government facility requirements).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (background check required).
