Responsibilities
- Records Management: Efficiently manage, organize, and digitize physical and electronic state government records to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Data Entry: Accurately input, update, and maintain confidential information within the department's database systems.
- Customer Service: Assist state employees and the public by retrieving and providing necessary documentation in a professional and timely manner.
- Compliance: Ensure all record-keeping processes adhere to state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and Texas state laws.
- Inventory Control: Monitor supply levels of office materials and manage the distribution of internal documents.
- Support Duties: Perform general administrative tasks to support the operations of the Records Management Division.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in data entry, records management, or a general administrative role within a government or corporate setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management software.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to verify data accuracy and maintain organized filing systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse audiences.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening required for state employment.
