Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to department heads including document preparation, data entry, and records management
- Assist with constituent inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Coordinate meeting logistics, scheduling, and minute preparation for public hearings
- Manage digital filing systems and ensure compliance with public record regulations
- Process daily financial transactions and reconcile expense reports
- Support outreach initiatives for community engagement programs
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year administrative experience in government or public sector
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Valid North Carolina driver's license (for occasional field visits)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Flexible availability including evening/weekend shifts as needed
