Responsibilities
- Design and oversee highway/bridge construction projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation
- Conduct traffic studies and implement traffic control systems
- Prepare engineering reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and local government agencies
- Ensure compliance with federal/state transportation regulations (FHWA, TCEQ)
- Manage project budgets and timelines using Primavera P6
- Lead field inspections and resolve technical issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program
- 4+ years of transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS software, and traffic modeling tools
- Knowledge of TxDOT design standards and TxDOT Project Development Process
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex engineering data
- Valid Texas Driver's License
