Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the construction of municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and city codes.
- Prepare detailed reports, cost estimates, and technical specifications for project proposals and bid documents.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within financial constraints.
- Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and consultants to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Perform field investigations and surveys to gather data necessary for engineering analysis and design.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering or public works.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar engineering software.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal construction codes and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
