Responsibilities
- Oversee design and implementation of highway improvement projects in El Paso County
- Coordinate with federal agencies (FHWA) and local municipalities for regulatory compliance
- Conduct traffic studies and infrastructure assessments using GIS and AutoCAD
- Manage project budgets and timelines with state procurement protocols
- Prepare detailed engineering reports for state legislative committees
- Lead public outreach initiatives for transportation infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Planning
- 3+ years of experience with state/federal transportation projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Proficiency in transportation modeling software (TransCAD, Synchro)
- Knowledge of TxDOT design standards and federal regulations
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish required for El Paso community engagement
