Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive transportation plans for urban and rural areas in North Texas
- Analyze traffic patterns, demographic data, and economic indicators to inform infrastructure decisions
- Prepare and present technical reports, environmental impact statements, and funding proposals
- Coordinate with local governments, transit authorities, and federal agencies on project alignment
- Utilize GIS software and traffic modeling tools to simulate transportation scenarios
- Conduct public outreach sessions and address community concerns regarding transportation projects
- Monitor compliance with federal/state regulations including NEPA and TxDOT standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Transportation Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in transportation planning or public infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and traffic modeling tools (TransCAD, VISSIM)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data sets and technical reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Knowledge of federal transportation regulations (FTA, FHWA) and TxDOT procedures
