Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections as needed
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify potential security threats
- Operate advanced imaging technology and security equipment
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers during screening processes
- Document security incidents and suspicious activities accurately
- Maintain strict adherence to TSA protocols and procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be available to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
