Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct thorough physical searches of passengers and property as required by security protocols
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes for all passengers
- Maintain security checkpoints in accordance with TSA Standard Operating Procedures
- Respond to security incidents and emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Utilize advanced imaging technology to detect potential threats
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or U.S. National status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Successfully complete TSA's training program
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Must pass a pre-employment physical examination
