Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, baggage, and cargo using advanced X-ray and detection equipment
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and identify potential security threats
- Operate TSA checkpoint technology and maintain security protocols
- Interact professionally with diverse travelers during security procedures
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate checkpoint logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel on security matters
- Participate in continuous security training and equipment updates
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass mandatory background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Basic computer proficiency and clear communication skills
- Must be at least 18 years old and pass TSA fitness standards
