Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct pat-down searches and explosive trace detection procedures
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to potential security threats
- Provide clear instructions to travelers while maintaining professional demeanor
- Operate TSA equipment and maintain security checkpoint efficiency
- Document security incidents and report suspicious activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency
- Willingness to complete TSA training academy
