Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and their carry-on baggage for weapons, explosives, and other dangerous items using advanced imaging technology and walk-through detection systems.
- Operate screening equipment, including X-ray machines and metal detectors, ensuring high accuracy and speed.
- Interact professionally and courteously with travelers, explaining procedures and resolving issues calmly and effectively.
- Patrol security checkpoints and enforce security regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Identify potential threats or anomalies and take appropriate action to mitigate risks immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for colleagues and passengers.
- Assist in emergency response procedures and drills when required.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, or Lawful Permanent Resident (per federal requirements).
- Must possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation and obtain a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Secret clearance.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs) for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
