Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security screening equipment to detect prohibited items
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Manage passenger flow at security checkpoints while maintaining professional demeanor
- Document security incidents and suspicious activities according to TSA guidelines
- Assist in emergency response situations and maintain airport security readiness
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers with diverse needs
- Participate in continuous training on security procedures and technology updates
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass TSA background check and security clearance
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new technologies
