Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using advanced X-ray, CT, and metal detection equipment
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and bag inspections to detect prohibited items
- Operate TSA-compliant technology including EDS, ETD, and advanced imaging systems
- Monitor security checkpoints while maintaining professional communication with travelers
- Document security incidents and suspicious activities through TSA reporting protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
- Enforce TSA regulations with cultural sensitivity and conflict resolution skills
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship with ability to pass federal background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
- Proficient in English communication (written and verbal)
- Ability to stand for extended periods in fast-paced environments
- Basic computer skills for documentation systems
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
