Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and bag inspections as required by security protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to security alerts or suspicious activities
- Enforce TSA regulations and procedures while maintaining professional customer service
- Document security incidents and screening activities accurately in federal systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory requirement)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass extensive background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
