Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct thorough physical pat-downs and bag inspections as required by security protocols
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger information
- Respond to security alerts and suspicious items following established procedures
- Provide clear instructions to travelers during the screening process
- Maintain accurate records of screening activities and security incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergencies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in operating screening equipment and technology
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
