Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on luggage
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Verify passenger identification and boarding documents
- Manage security checkpoints efficiently while maintaining professional demeanor
- Respond to security alerts and potential threats with appropriate protocols
- Provide excellent customer service to diverse travelers
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Successfully complete TSA training program
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
