Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using X-ray machines and walk-through detectors
- Conduct physical searches of individuals and property when necessary
- Monitor security checkpoints and enforce TSA regulations
- Operate advanced imaging technology and trace detection equipment
- Respond to security alerts and suspicious items following protocol
- Assist with passenger identification and document verification
- Maintain accurate security logs and incident reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must complete TSA-mandated training program
