Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct physical searches of individuals and property as required
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger manifests
- Identify and report suspicious items or security threats
- Maintain strict adherence to TSA protocols and security procedures
- Provide excellent customer service to diverse travelers
- Document security incidents and screening activities accurately
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license (if operating airport vehicles)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills for document verification systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
