Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and explosive trace detection
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activities
- Enforce TSA security protocols and procedures
- Provide clear instructions to passengers during screening processes
- Operate advanced security equipment and technology
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain security logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid state driver's license (minimum 2 years driving experience)
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4-6 hours)
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish preferred)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
