Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on, and checked baggage using advanced imaging technology and manual search techniques
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive detection systems to identify prohibited items
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and resolve alarms according to TSA protocols
- Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents and passenger interactions
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security regulations with professionalism
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security escalations
- Participate in continuous training on emerging threats and security technologies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum age of 18 years
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Must obtain and maintain TSA Transportation Security Identification Credential (TSA Credentialed)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
