Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using advanced X-ray technology and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect and respond to potential threats
- Operate and maintain security screening equipment
- Enforce TSA security protocols with professionalism and courtesy
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergencies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
- Valid driver's license (preferred)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
