Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors
- Conduct pat-down searches and explosive trace detection as required
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify suspicious items or behaviors
- Operate advanced imaging technology and baggage screening systems
- Enforce TSA security regulations and document incidents
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers during screening processes
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport staff during security incidents
Qualifications
- US citizenship or lawful permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license
- Proficiency in English (reading/writing/speaking)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- US residency requirement met for at least 3 years
- Ability to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
