Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining professional demeanor during high-volume screening operations
- Identify and report prohibited items, suspicious behavior, and potential security threats
- Operate airport checkpoint equipment including EDS systems and explosive trace detection portals
- Provide clear instructions to passengers regarding screening procedures and security requirements
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel to resolve security incidents
- Maintain accurate screening documentation and incident reports
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status with required immigration documents
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass rigorous background investigation and security clearance
- Must pass TSA Pre-Employment Assessment and medical examination
- Proficient in operating electronic screening equipment and communication devices
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail in high-stress environments
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid government-issued photo identification and Social Security card
