Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections when required
- Enforce TSA security regulations with professionalism and courtesy
- Operate advanced screening technology and maintain equipment calibration
- Document security incidents and suspicious activity reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Maintain constant vigilance in high-traffic airport environments
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass extensive background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Must obtain TSA certification within 6 months of hire
