Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray scanners, metal detectors, and other TSA-approved screening equipment to detect prohibited items
- Conduct thorough physical pat-down searches and baggage inspections in compliance with TSA protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers while enforcing security regulations
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel to address security concerns
- Participate in continuous training to stay current on security procedures and threat detection
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid government security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience in high-pressure environments
- Ability to pass TSA background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in English with clear communication skills
