Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced security screening procedures for passengers, baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and trace detection systems
- Perform thorough pat-down searches and bag inspections to identify prohibited items and potential threats
- Operate complex security technology with precision and maintain detailed documentation of screening activities
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing TSA regulations with professionalism and tact
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel to address security concerns and incidents
- Participate in continuous training programs to maintain certification and stay updated on evolving security protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a TSA Security Screening Badge
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in security, military, or law enforcement
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in English with excellent communication skills
