Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on bags, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and bag inspections to detect prohibited items
- Operate advanced imaging technology and explosive detection systems
- Enforce TSA security regulations and communicate procedures to travelers
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel to resolve security incidents
- Maintain accurate documentation of security screening activities
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in English (written and verbal communication)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer skills for operating security equipment systems
