Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual search techniques
- Conduct pat-down searches and explosive trace detection when required
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to potential threats or suspicious activities
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes for compliance with TSA regulations
- Operate advanced security technology and maintain equipment functionality
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security protocols
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in English communication (verbal and written)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills for documentation and equipment operation
