Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray scanners, metal detectors, and explosive detection systems
- Conduct physical screenings and pat-downs per TSA protocols
- Analyze baggage and carry-on items for prohibited materials
- Monitor passenger flow and maintain checkpoint security
- Document security incidents and suspicious activities
- Assist passengers with screening procedures and resolve concerns
- Collaborate with law enforcement during security escalations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4-6 hour shifts)
- Clear verbal communication skills in English
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting systems
- Ability to work rotating schedules including nights/weekends
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
