Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screenings at Dane County Regional Airport using advanced X-ray technology and manual inspection techniques
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining courteous and professional interactions with travelers
- Identify and report prohibited items, suspicious behavior, and potential security threats to supervisory staff
- Operate and maintain complex screening equipment, performing routine quality checks and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents and emergency situations
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and security incidents
- Participate in continuous training programs to stay current on evolving security procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and drug screening
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to airport facility
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
