Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers and baggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual pat-downs
- Identify and resolve potential security threats through keen observation and analytical skills
- Maintain compliance with TSA protocols and federal regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during high-pressure screening interactions
- Operate advanced security technology and equipment
- Document security incidents and screening activities accurately
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel as needed
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn security systems
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
