Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo to detect and prevent the transportation of prohibited items.
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other screening equipment in accordance with TSA protocols.
- Interact with travelers in a professional and courteous manner, providing assistance and resolving issues.
- Document and report security incidents, suspicious activities, and potential threats.
- Adhere to all TSA policies, procedures, and security guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with other security personnel and law enforcement agencies as needed.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and respond quickly to emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Pass a background investigation and drug screening.
- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
- Previous experience in security, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
