Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required by security protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to potential threats or suspicious activity
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing TSA regulations with professionalism
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
- Participate in ongoing security training and certification programs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or disqualifying employment history
