Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced X-ray technology and manual search techniques
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and operate walk-through metal detectors
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify suspicious items or behaviors
- Enforce TSA regulations and communicate security protocols to travelers
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during security incidents
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and security breaches
- Operate electronic equipment and assist passengers with special needs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance (TSA CUI)
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn security software
- Customer service experience with conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
