Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray scanners and walk-through metal detectors
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activity or emergencies
- Operate advanced security technology and maintain equipment functionality
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport staff during security incidents
- Complete detailed security documentation and incident reports
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license (if operating airport vehicles)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
