Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and manual inspection techniques
- Operate advanced security technology including CT scanners and trace detection equipment
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Maintain orderly security checkpoints while adhering to TSA protocols
- Document security incidents and report suspicious activities to supervisors
- Provide excellent customer service to diverse travelers during screening processes
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer literacy for equipment operation
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights/holidays
- Clear speaking ability for security announcements
