Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage at security checkpoints using advanced technology
- Conduct thorough searches of individuals and property to ensure safety compliance
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment
- Identify and report suspicious items or activities according to protocol
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining security standards
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Maintain accurate records of security operations and passenger interactions
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with diverse populations
- Basic computer proficiency for equipment operation
- Must complete TSA's paid training program successfully
