As a TSA Security Screener, you'll operate advanced screening technology, conduct thorough passenger and baggage inspections, and maintain strict compliance with TSA protocols. Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray scanners, metal detectors, and explosive trace detection equipment
- Conduct thorough physical screenings of passengers and carry-on baggage
- Identify prohibited items and security threats according to TSA guidelines
- Provide clear instructions and assistance to travelers during screening
- Maintain detailed logs of screening activities and incident reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport security personnel
- Enforce TSA regulations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a government security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn TSA systems
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service experience preferred
- Must pass TSA Pre-employment Assessment
