Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and CT scanners to screen carry-on and checked baggage for prohibited items.
- Conduct physical screenings of passengers, including pat-downs and wanding, while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
- Identify and report security anomalies or threats in accordance with TSA protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, answering questions and assisting individuals with disabilities or special needs.
- Adhere to strict security regulations and operational procedures at all times.
- Document screening results and maintain accurate records of inspections.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient checkpoint flow and operational readiness.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Background Check: Must successfully complete a federal background investigation, including a criminal history check and credit check.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must pass a medical examination.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Focus: Ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
