Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and manual pat-down techniques
- Monitor airport checkpoints to detect potential security threats and suspicious behavior
- Operate advanced scanning equipment and communicate effectively with travelers
- Enforce TSA regulations while maintaining courteous and professional interactions
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records of checkpoint activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
