Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, baggage, and cargo for prohibited items using advanced detection equipment
- Conduct thorough security checks at airport checkpoints and secure areas
- Enforce TSA regulations and security protocols with professionalism and tact
- Operate X-ray scanners, metal detectors, and other security technologies
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with law enforcement as needed
- Maintain detailed logs of security activities and passenger interactions
- Provide exceptional customer service during security screening processes
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish preferred)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn technical systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanor convictions
