Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual inspection techniques
- Conduct pat-down searches and explosive trace detection procedures as required
- Monitor security checkpoints to ensure compliance with TSA regulations and SOPs
- Respond to security alerts and suspicious activity reports per established protocols
- Provide clear instructions and assistance to passengers during screening processes
- Document security incidents and operational irregularities accurately
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory
- Pass thorough background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting systems
- Must complete TSA training certification program
