Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and property to prevent the boarding of aircraft with weapons or other dangerous items.
- Observe behavior, appearance, and demeanor for signs of hostile intent or illegal activity.
- Operate advanced screening equipment, including X-ray machines, metal detectors, and body scanners.
- Manage passenger queues efficiently to minimize wait times while maintaining security standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, answering questions and resolving concerns professionally.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure screening environment at all times.
- Adhere to all TSA directives, protocols, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass a medical examination.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
