Responsibilities
- Conduct screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines and physical inspection equipment.
- Perform pat-downs and baggage searches according to strict TSA security protocols and regulations.
- Monitor security monitors and detect potential threats, prohibited items, or security breaches.
- Assist passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors and the elderly, ensuring a smooth travel experience.
- Respond immediately and professionally to emergency situations and security alerts.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment sanitization and inspection stations.
- Document screening results and any irregularities in the required security logs.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation, including a criminal history check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and pass a medical examination.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to pass a voice stress analysis test and a TSA screening assessment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with diverse populations.
