Responsibilities
- Operate TSA-provided screening equipment to detect prohibited items in baggage and on passengers
- Conduct thorough physical screenings of travelers and carry-on luggage following TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints to ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Respond to security incidents with professionalism and adherence to emergency procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and security reports
- Provide courteous customer service while enforcing security standards
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in using screening equipment (training provided)
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
